Barista / FOH

4 days / 25-30 hours / End March Start

We are looking for a competent barista with at least one years’ coffee experience, and at least two years’ FOH experience.

The role involves both making coffee and providing exceptional customer service, including table service. We have a small FOH team and expect our staff to be strong in both areas. Roles are rotated so some days you’ll be on the machine most of the day, others mainly on the floor.

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and who is a great communicator. Ideally this individual will have an active interest in food as well as coffee, eating out regularly or cooking at home. We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable explaining our food offering to customers as they are pouring a great cup behind the bar.

Our main roaster is Has Bean with a rotating selection of guest roasters. We work on a Linea PB ABR, Mahlkonig E65s GBW and EK-43.

Applicants must be able to work Saturdays.

You will:

  • Possess a friendly disposition and exceptionally positive attitude

  • Be fastidious about cleanliness, organisation and timekeeping

  • Share our passion for providing outstanding hospitality

  • Have at least one years’ experience in coffee, and ideally two years’ experience FOH

  • Be a direct, concise and effective communicator

  • Have an interest in food and cook/eat out regularly

  • Be able to work independently and self-manage, but also work well within a team

  • Have excellent English communication skills
